Machine Feeders and Offbearers

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Machine Feeders and Offbearers to join our manufacturing team in Cape Town. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines by efficiently handling materials.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the daily setup of production machinery.
• Handle the supply of materials to ensure continuous workflow.
• Inspect materials and finished products for quality assurance.
• Help maintain inventory of materials and alert supervisors of shortages.
• Assist in the training of junior staff on production protocols.
• Participate in regular safety audits and drills.
• Provide suggestions for production efficiency improvements.
• Maintain proper documentation of machine usage and maintenance.
• Ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn at all times.
• Work together with team members to reach production targets.

Requirements

Education

• No specific educational qualifications required
• Relevant experience or vocational training preferred

Experience

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.

Technical Skills

• Forklift operation
• Basic mechanical skills

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving skills
• Communication skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• First aid training: Certification in first aid can be beneficial.
• Experience in quality control: Previous work in quality control roles is an asset.
