Medical Doctor

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Medical Doctor to join our committed team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive patient care and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure a high standard of care.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with acute and chronic conditions.
• Conduct diagnostic tests as required and interpret results.
• Liaise with specialists to ensure comprehensive care.
• Promote health education campaigns within the community.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Postgraduate qualification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a clinical role

Technical Skills

• Diagnostic skills
• Emergency response

Soft Skills

• Critical thinking
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
• Registered with the South African Medical Association

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems: Familiarity with data management within EMR systems is beneficial.
• Clinical research experience: Engagement in clinical trials and research to advance medical practices.
