Job Description

As a Cataloguer, you will play a crucial role in organizing and maintaining our extensive collection of documents and artifacts. The ideal candidate should possess a strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, ensuring all items are catalogued properly for easy access.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance cataloguing workflows for efficiency.
  • Utilize library management systems such as Koha or Evergreen.
  • Monitor the quality of cataloguing and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the training of new staff on cataloguing practices.
  • Engage in outreach and educational initiatives related to the collection.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Library and Information Science or a related field is preferred
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in cataloguing or metadata management.
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of Metadata Standards
