Job Description

Seeking an experienced Insurance Underwriter to assess potential liabilities and risks associated with insuring clients. In this role, you will perform thorough evaluations of applications and work closely with brokers to ensure proper coverage. This position is critical in safeguarding our clients' interests and maintaining the integrity of our services.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate coverage options and assess risks for each insurance application.
• Decide on policy limits and premiums based on risk analysis.
• Prepare policy documents and endorsements for clients.
• Develop relationships with insurance brokers to optimize client offerings.
• Conduct reviews of active policies to manage risks and exposures.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with underwriting standards.
• Utilize underwriting software for accurate data analysis and reporting.
• Participate in team meetings to strategize underwriting approaches.
• Assist in the development of marketing materials for new insurance products.
• Document and communicate underwriting decisions to all relevant parties.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent
• Further studies in Insurance or Risk Management will be advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of underwriting experience preferred
