Job Description

We are searching for a detail-oriented Actuarial Analyst to join our dynamic team in Sandton. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data and developing models to assess risk. This role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in actuarial software.

Responsibilities

• Develop actuarial models to forecast trends and evaluate risk exposure.
• Generate comprehensive reports detailing findings and recommendations.
• Communicate complex data findings to stakeholders in an understandable manner.
• Work on continuous improvement initiatives for departmental processes.
• Support the development of training materials for junior staff.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skill set.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in the insurance or financial industry

Technical Skills

• R or Python
• Financial Modelling

Certifications

• Associate of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (ASSA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
