Tax Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Tax Specialist to manage complex tax issues, provide insightful advice to clients, and ensure compliance with all taxation laws. This role requires extensive knowledge of South African tax regulations and the ability to communicate tax-related matters effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex tax compliance for various clientele.
• Advise on tax-efficient strategies and compliance matters.
• Conduct regular reviews of tax processes and recommend improvements.
• Represent clients in front of tax authorities during audits.
• Prepare internal reports regarding tax implications for management.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss client tax positions and strategies.
• Contribute to training sessions on tax laws for junior staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation
• Honours in Taxation is a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of diverse tax experience, preferably in a consulting role

Technical Skills

• Tax Litigation
• Corporate Tax

Soft Skills

• Client Relationship Management
• Team Leadership

Certifications

• Tax Practitioner Registration with SARS

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational
