Pharmacist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated pharmacist to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will not only dispense medication but also provide essential health advice and support to our valued patients.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the dispensing of prescription and over-the-counter medications.
• Build relationships with patients to understand their health needs.
• Monitor patient medication regimens to identify potential interactions.
• Assist in the development of policies and procedures within the pharmacy.
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities.
• Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare providers regarding patient care.
• Provide training and supervision to pharmacy staff and interns.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field
• Honours degree is advantageous

Experience

• 1-3 years of pharmacy experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Clinical pharmacy
• Consultation

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Attention to detail

Advantageous

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS): Certification is a bonus.
• Experience in patient counseling: Strong background in providing patient counselling.
