Cybersecurity Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and experience in safeguarding networks and information systems from cyber threats.

Responsibilities

• Develop incident response plans and coordinate responses to cybersecurity incidents.
• Perform malware analysis and forensics on suspicious files.
• Maintain and monitor security tools and software.
• Provide support for security-related inquiries from staff and management.
• Foster a culture of cybersecurity awareness across the organization.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role

• Vulnerability Assessment Tools
• Encryption Technologies

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with cloud security: Knowledge of securing cloud environments and applications.
• Scripting skills (Python, Bash): Ability to write scripts for automating security tasks.
