Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough reviews of insurance applications and associated documents.
• Engage in negotiations with clients or agents to clarify terms of coverage.
• Implement strategies to improve underwriting processes and efficiencies.
• Monitor outstanding issues and follow up with clients for resolution.
• Collaborate with claims departments to understand trends and improve risk assessment.
• Provide feedback to senior management on underwriting performance and emerging risks.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or related field
• Postgraduate qualifications in underwriting preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of progressive experience in underwriting roles

Certifications

• Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)
• Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
