Job Description

As a Machine Setter Supervisor, you will oversee and coordinate the machine setting operations within our bustling manufacturing facility. Your leadership will ensure machines are set up correctly and maintain optimal performance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of machinery, excellent management skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the machine setters' team, ensuring all processes run smoothly.
  • Oversee the training and development of new machine setters.
  • Implement and enforce standard operating procedures for machine settings.
  • Analyze performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with production management and other departments.
  • Review and approve machine maintenance schedules.
  • Investigate and resolve any machine malfunctions promptly.
  • Promote adherence to workplace safety regulations.
  • Evaluate team performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric certificate or equivalent
  • Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in machine setting within a manufacturing environment
