Metal Bed Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a Metal Bed Assembler to join our skilled team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling metal beds according to specifications, ensuring quality and efficiency. Previous experience in metal fabrication is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and execute assembly instructions accurately.
• Utilize power tools for efficient assembly processes.
• Conduct quality checks on assembled products.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
• Work collaboratively within the assembly team.
• Document daily production numbers and issues.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Implement lean manufacturing practices.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training in metalworking is preferred

Experience

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in metal assembly or fabrication.

Technical Skills

• Hand tool proficiency
• Welding experience

Soft Skills

• Communication skills
• Adaptability

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with quality control processes: Past experience in quality inspection roles.
• Welding certification: Certification in MIG/TIG welding will be advantageous.
