Job Description

As a Longwall Foreman, you'll be responsible for managing the longwall mining operations, ensuring that safety, quality, and productivity targets are met. You'll lead a team of skilled miners, ensuring efficient operations while adhering to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the longwall mining team.
• Ensure effective communication and teamwork among miners.
• Conduct safety meetings and training sessions regularly.
• Report on machinery performance and address any issues.
• Collaborate with health and safety officers to mitigate risks.
• Monitor and review operational data to assess productivity.
• Commit to continuous improvement in mining operations.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or Degree in Mining Engineering
• Additional management qualifications preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in supervisory roles within underground mining operations.

• Longwall Mining Equipment Knowledge

Languages

• English: Fluent
