We are searching for a dedicated Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a sound understanding of psychological principles and demonstrate a passion for helping individuals navigate their mental health challenges. You will engage with clients, conduct assessments, and develop personalized treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat medical conditions in animals.
• Perform surgical procedures with precision and care.
• Provide advice on animal care and health to pet owners.
• Maintain records of animals’ medical history and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure optimal patient care.
• Administer anesthesia and provide post-operative care.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Veterinary Technology
• Master's degree in Veterinary Practice is advantageous

Experience

• 4+ years of practical experience in a clinical setting

Technical Skills

• Anesthesia administration
• Pharmacology knowledge

• Teamwork
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Member of the South African Veterinary Association
• Certification in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

• Knowledge of exotic animal care: Familiarity with the medical needs of exotic pets.
