Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose mental health disorders.
• Offer specialized therapy techniques tailored to individual client needs.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care.
• Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
• Foster a therapeutic alliance with clients to encourage open communication.
• Document therapy sessions and client progress regularly.
• Engage in supervision and mentorship for junior staff.

Requirements

Education

• Doctorate in Psychology or related field preferred
• Registered with HPCSA

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in therapeutic practice

Technical Skills

• Group Therapy
• Trauma-Informed Care

Certifications

• HPCSA Registered Psychologist
• CBT Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

• Bilingual capabilities: Ability to provide services in both English and Afrikaans or Zulu.
