DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing our cloud infrastructure, deploying applications and automating deployment tasks to support agile software development.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of application delivery from development to production.
• Enhance monitoring and alerting systems to preemptively identify issues.
• Evaluate and implement tools that enhance DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with QA teams to ensure product quality.
• Engage with product teams to gather feedback and improve processes.
• Assist in capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Foster relationships with stakeholders across teams.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps role

Technical Skills

• Terraform
• Python

Soft Skills

• Analytical Thinking
• Conflict Resolution

Certifications

• Google Professional Cloud Architect

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies: Understanding of Agile principles and experience in applying them in teams.
• Scripting skills in Bash or similar languages: Ability to write scripts for automation and system management.
