Dental Hygienist

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Dental Hygienist to join our passionate team in Johannesburg. You will play a vital role in promoting dental health and hygiene, conducting patient assessments, and educating patients on oral care practices.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement individual oral hygiene plans for patients.
• Perform periodontal assessments and maintenance.
• Provide instructions for post-treatment care and follow-up.
• Track and analyze patient progress during follow-up visits.
• Assist with radiographic procedures when required.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are sterilized and ready for use.
• Advise patients on the importance of regular dental check-ups.
• Work in alignment with dental health policies and regulations.
• Participate actively in quality assurance initiatives.
• Engage in community dental health education events.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Dental Hygiene or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a dental practice.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of dental radiography
• Ability to perform periodontal treatments

Certifications

• CPR Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
