Job Description

The Residential Advisor plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of residents in a communal living environment. This position requires a compassionate individual with strong leadership skills to provide emotional support, guidance, and practical assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a supportive living environment for residents.
  • Assist with the orientation of new residents and families.
  • Compile regular reports on resident progress and engagement.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution among residents.
  • Work closely with the Residential Life team to enhance community living.
  • Participate in meetings with stakeholders to discuss resident development.
  • Develop and implement community-building initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric or equivalent
  • Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Social Work or related field
Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in communal living environments.
