We are seeking a passionate Travel Consultant to join our vibrant team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in planning and delivering exceptional travel experiences. You’ll build relationships with clients, providing them with tailored travel solutions that meet their needs and desires.

Responsibilities

• Create appealing travel proposals for clients.
• Implement effective sales strategies to enhance business growth.
• Coordinate travel arrangements for group bookings and events.
• Resolve any customer complaints with professionalism and care.
• Monitor and report on industry developments and competitor offerings.
• Assist in organizing promotional events or travel expos.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Diploma in Travel and Tourism or related field is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in travel consulting or related field.

Technical Skills

• Travel Booking Platforms
• GDS Systems (Amadeus, Sabre)

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Negotiation

Certifications

• IATA Certification
• Travel Agency Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with Travel Insurance Products: Familiarity with insurance services to offer clients additional security.
• Familiarity with Travel Assistant Apps: Knowledge of contemporary travel apps for booking and itinerary management.
