Responsibilities

• Examine patients' teeth and gums to identify dental health issues.
• Develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Perform restorative and preventive dental procedures.
• Educate patients about their dental health and necessary treatments.
• Collaborate effectively with dental assistants and hygienists.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
• Review and update patient records regularly.
• Engage in community outreach to promote dental health awareness.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Dentistry
• Postgraduate diploma in Oral Health is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years in a dental practice setting

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic

Advantageous

• Sedation Dentistry Certification: Certification in sedation techniques for patient comfort.
• Experience in Orthodontics: Experience with orthodontic treatments is a plus.
