Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our growing team in Durban. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting patients to enhance their daily living and work skills, using therapeutic techniques tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and plan for patient rehabilitation aimed at improving day-to-day living skills.
  • Design and implement customized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient progress and adjust treatment techniques as needed.
  • Provide education and support to families regarding patient care needs and strategies.
  • Utilize various therapeutic modalities to enhance patient recovery.
  • Monitor equipment and therapy tools to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Participate in case reviews and staff meetings to discuss patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of therapeutic programs within the facility.
  • Facilitate workshops to educate patients and the community on occupational health.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
  • Specialization in a relevant area is advantageous
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a healthcare setting
