Pharmacist

Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Pharmacist to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of pharmaceutical care and be capable of providing excellent customer service. You will work with patients to ensure they receive proper medication management and have access to healthcare information.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the accurate and timely dispensing of pharmaceuticals.
• Advise patients on health and wellness products.
• Conduct medication therapy management and reviews.
• Maintain a clean and safe pharmacy environment.
• Ensure regulatory compliance through proper documentation and reporting.
• Participate in patient care teams to develop treatment plans.
• Manage pharmacy supply chain and maintain stock levels.
• Engage in medication reconciliation upon patient discharge.
• Educate the community on health issues through outreach programs.
• Support pharmacy marketing initiatives to enhance service offerings.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences
• Advanced qualifications in pharmacy practice is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years in a community pharmacy role

• Certified Medication Therapy Manager

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic

• Experience with electronic health records (EHR).: Familiarity with EHR for managing patient data and medication records.
