Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Pharmacist to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of pharmaceutical care and be capable of providing excellent customer service. You will work with patients to ensure they receive proper medication management and have access to healthcare information.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense medications and monitor patient medication therapies.
  • Deliver pharmaceutical care by counseling patients on medication adherence and safety.
  • Participate in health promotion and disease prevention activities.
  • Review medication therapy for effectiveness and safety, adjusting as necessary.
  • Oversee the pharmacy’s operational activities.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members.
  • Provide drug utilization reviews and medication therapy management.
  • Report and document adverse drug reactions.
  • Participate in continuing education and pharmacy practice research.
  • Support the implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • Advanced qualifications in pharmacy practice is an advantage
Experience
  • 3+ years in a community pharmacy role
