Supply Chain Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a strategic Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain processes in Cape Town. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of supply chain principles and a track record of enhancing operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy sessions to improve supply chain operations and reduce costs.
• Assess supplier performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to align supply chain strategies with business goals.
• Evaluate technological advancements and implement relevant systems.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, or a related field
• Professional certifications in supply chain management are preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in supply chain management or a related area with progressive responsibility

Technical Skills

• Inventory control
• Supplier relationship management

Soft Skills

• Strategic thinking
• Negotiation

Certifications

• APICS Certification
• Certified Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in international supply chains: Background in managing global supply chains and cross-border logistics.
• Familiarity with SAP software: Experience with SAP systems specific to supply chain functions.
