Site Reliability Engineer

Job Description

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our systems in Durban. This position requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies and a proactive approach to system reliability. You will engage in problem-solving, capacity planning, and developing monitoring and alerting systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure on cloud platforms.
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to enhance reliability and performance.
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Develop monitoring and alerting solutions to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field
• Relevant certifications (AWS, Azure)

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a similar technical role

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Terraform: Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools for managing cloud infrastructure.
