Site Reliability Engineer

Job Description

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our systems in Durban. This position requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies and a proactive approach to system reliability. You will engage in problem-solving, capacity planning, and developing monitoring and alerting systems.

Responsibilities

• Work on capacity planning, monitoring, and alerting.
• Perform system troubleshooting and debugging.
• Manage incidents and help restore services quickly.
• Assist in the development of disaster recovery plans.
• Create automation scripts to eliminate repetitive tasks.
• Engage with service providers to improve system performance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field
• Relevant certifications (AWS, Azure)

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a similar technical role
