Site Reliability Engineer

Job Description

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our systems in Durban. This position requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies and a proactive approach to system reliability. You will engage in problem-solving, capacity planning, and developing monitoring and alerting systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high availability and resilience of applications.
• Support system upgrades and migrations.
• Implement best practices in infrastructure usage and optimization.
• Train and onboard other team members on best practices.
• Contribute to the documentation of systems and processes.
• Participate in on-call duties, troubleshooting production issues.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field
• Relevant certifications (AWS, Azure)

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a similar technical role
