Textile Winding, Twisting, and Drawing Out Machine Setter / Operator

Job Description

The Rayon Coner will operate and maintain rayon winding machines in a busy textile manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and focused on ensuring that high-quality rayon yarn is produced efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Manage the winding of rayon onto cones, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production goals and improvements.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of supplies necessary for winding operations.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and coordinate with maintenance for complex issues.
• Document all machine settings and production outputs.
• Follow up on maintenance schedules and machine servicing needs.
• Support initiatives aimed at increasing operational efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Technical qualification in textile production is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a textile manufacturing setting.

Technical Skills

• Machinery maintenance

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Training experience for new operators: Able to effectively onboard and train new machine operators.
