We are seeking a skilled Structural Design Technician to join our dedicated team in Sandton. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of structural engineering principles. You'll be involved in designing and assessing structural components, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and collaborating with various stakeholders to bring innovative projects to life.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural design calculations for various projects.

• Work closely with the engineering team to refine designs.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and proposals.
• Conduct quality checks on design outputs before submission.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering

Technical Skills

• Project Management Software
• Geotechnical Engineering Knowledge

Certifications

• Autodesk Certified Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Industry Codes and Standards: Knowledge of SANS and other relevant standards for building designs.
• Familiarity with 3D Modelling: Ability to produce 3D models to visualize design outcomes.
