Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat a variety of animals, ensuring the highest standards of care.
  • Administer vaccinations and maintain immunization records.
  • Conduct routine health checks and preventive care.
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure efficient clinic operations.
  • Engage with pet owners to provide guidance on pet health.
  • Monitor anesthesia and post-operative recovery.
  • Keep up-to-date with continuing education and veterinary advancements.
  • Assist in onboarding new staff and interns.
  • Ensure compliance with veterinary laws and regulations.
  • Promote a culture of care within the veterinary team.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine
  • Registration with the South African Veterinary Council
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a veterinary role
