We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Lead to oversee engineering projects in Cape Town. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in structural design and project management, leading a team of engineers and collaborating with architects and clients to deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the structural design process from conception to completion.
• Assess and mitigate risks associated with structural designs.
• Provide technical expertise in the selection of appropriate materials and construction techniques.
• Conduct regular meetings with the design team to review project objectives.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and industry partners.
• Ensure accurate documentation and reporting throughout the design process.
• Drive the adoption of innovative technologies and methodologies in structural design.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions for team development.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate in interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal project outcomes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree or relevant professional registration is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in structural engineering
