Building Engineer

Job Description

We are currently on the lookout for a Building Engineer to join our experienced team in Johannesburg. You will be tasked with designing, developing, and maintaining various structures and facilities while ensuring strict compliance with safety regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage building projects from conception to completion.
• Obtain necessary permits and approvals.
• Conduct site inspections and oversee quality control processes.
• Develop project plans and budgets.
• Create and review technical drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with architects, construction managers, and other professionals.
• Manage construction schedules and resource allocation.
• Implement quality control procedures.
• Provide expert advice on building design and construction.
• Monitor and evaluate project performance continuously.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's Degree in Civil Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in managing large-scale building projects

Technical Skills

• Building Information Modeling (BIM)
• Structuring Codes

Soft Skills

• Analytical Thinking
• Interpersonal Skills

Certifications

• LEED AP certification is a plus.
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Languages

• English: Fluent
