Responsibilities

• Examine and treat sick or injured animals.
• Conduct surgeries, such as spaying and neutering.
• Advise clients on pet health and preventive care.

• Participate in training and mentoring junior staff.
• Manage emergency cases with quick and effective decisions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent qualification
• Specialization in surgery is highly valued.

Experience

• 4+ years in veterinary practice, primarily in surgery.

Technical Skills

• Anesthesia management
• Radiology skills

• Team leadership

Certifications

• Veterinary Surgery Certification from a recognized institution
• Continuing education in veterinary medicine.

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic
