Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Civil Engineer who is enthusiastic about engineering challenges. You will be responsible for developing project plans, conducting site assessments, and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to produce actionable solutions while meeting project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design and construction of civil engineering projects.
• Engage in budget management and resource allocation.
• Ensure effective collaboration among project teams.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments.
• Assist with the preparation and submission of project documents.
• Implement engineering standards and regulations.
• Facilitate project kick-off meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Streamline communication between contractors, clients, and regulators.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering design and implementation

Technical Skills

• Structural Analysis Software
• Geotechnical Engineering

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience in public works projects: Previous work on government or large-scale public infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in renewable energy systems: Understanding of renewable energy technologies and how they apply to civil projects.
