Veterinary Surgeon

Job Description

Become a part of our passionate team as a Veterinary Surgeon in Durban. In this role, you will assess and treat sick and injured animals, perform surgeries, and engage with pet owners to provide advice on animal care. We are looking for someone who is dedicated, enthusiastic, and innovative.

Responsibilities

• Provide veterinary care, diagnosis, and treatment of animals.
• Perform emergency and elective surgeries.
• Oversee preventative care and vaccination programs.
• Engage with clients to ensure understanding of procedures.
• Conduct laboratory tests and interpret results.
• Keep abreast of advancements in veterinary medicine.
• Assist in training junior staff members.
• Participate in case reviews and discussions.
• Support clinic operations with administrative tasks.
• Document all interactions and procedures accurately.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc)
• Specialization in surgery or emergency care is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years in clinical veterinary medicine
