Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Hospital Chaplain to provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, their families, and hospital staff. The ideal candidate will have experience in a healthcare setting and a compassionate demeanor, able to facilitate prayer services, provide counseling, and collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals for holistic patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients and families in navigating spiritual questions and challenges during treatment.
  • Organize and lead hospital chapel services, including special occasions or holiday services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community religious leaders and organizations.
  • Contribute to the hospital's patient advocacy activities through spiritual support.
  • Provide crisis support and referrals to specialized psychological services when needed.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in divinity, theology, or related field from an accredited institution
  • Ordination or certification as a chaplain
Experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a healthcare chaplaincy.
