Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Durban. In this role, you will provide high-quality medical care for a variety of animals, ensuring their health and well-being through surgeries, consultations, and preventive care.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage cases of animal illness and injury.
  • Perform a variety of surgical procedures, including emergency surgeries.
  • Educate clients on health, nutrition and preventive care.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Work with a team to provide exceptional animal patient care.
  • Participate in research and clinical trials when appropriate.
  • Foster a compassionate atmosphere for clients and their pets.
  • Represent the practice in community outreach initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science
  • Postgraduate studies in a specialized area of veterinary medicine preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of clinical experience in veterinary practices
