DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are in search of a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our growing team in Port Elizabeth. As a key contributor, you'll implement and maintain impactful DevOps practices, enabling teams to deliver high-quality software at a rapid pace. You will collaborate closely with developers and IT staff to ensure successful deployment, configuration, and management of applications in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full deployment lifecycle of applications in Azure/AWS.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or similar tools.
• Design and implement monitoring solutions for applications and systems.
• Optimize application performance through configuration tuning.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with security protocols.
• Participate in quality assurance and ensure best practices are followed.
• Assist with mentoring junior team members in DevOps practices.
• Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Support cost optimizations for cloud-based resources.
• Develop scripts for process automation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• DevOps certification is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps role
