Job Description

The E and I Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and installing electrical and instrumentation systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles, as well as experience working in industrial settings. Candidates should have excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections on electrical systems and instrumentation devices.
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical faults in machinery and equipment.
  • Participate in safety audits and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
  • Provide insights for continuous improvement in maintenance processes.
  • Assist in training junior technicians on best practices in maintenance.
  • Document all maintenance performed and report issues to supervisors.
  • Utilize software tools for tracking maintenance schedules and reporting.
  • Work in a team environment focusing on safety and efficiency.
  • Assist in the procurement of spare parts and equipment.
  • Engage in knowledge-sharing and skills transfer with team members.

Requirements

Education
  • National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance within an industrial environment.
