Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Kitchen Runner to support our kitchen staff in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Your role will involve assisting with food preparation, cleaning kitchen equipment, and ensuring that the kitchen runs smoothly during service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for meal preparation under chef supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces and equipment.
• Aid in stock rotation and inventory control.
• Support the culinary team in delivering high-quality dishes.
• Participate in daily kitchen briefings and meetings.
• Assist in waste management and composting efforts.
• Help with food plating and presentation during peak hours.
• Collaborate with wait staff to ensure timely service.
• Assist with menu planning and special event preparation.
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to team morale.

Requirements

Education

• Matric or equivalent
• Diploma in Hospitality or related field preferred

Experience

• Some experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous.

Technical Skills

Languages
