Cybersecurity Analyst

Job Description

As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will play a critical role in protecting our organization from cyber threats. Based in Johannesburg, your tasks will include conducting security audits, monitoring network traffic, and collaborating with IT teams to fortify our defenses.

Responsibilities

• Analyze firewall, intrusion detection, and prevention systems.
• Conduct risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies.
• Implement best practices for data protection and information security.
• Review and maintain documentation of security policies and procedures.
• Facilitate training sessions on cybersecurity awareness.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and other agencies in case of breaches.
• Develop incident response plans and conduct drills to ensure readiness.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Master's degree in Cybersecurity is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity
