Job Description

We are in search of a qualified Mining Engineer to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of mine design and operational practices. You'll be tasked with overseeing mining operations, ensuring safety compliance, and optimising processes to maximize efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop methodologies for ore extraction.
• Collaborate on the design of infrastructure including roads and ventilation systems.
• Participate in project meetings and provide input on engineering challenges.
• Review compliance reports and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
• Implement new technologies to enhance mining processes.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for project execution.
• Prepare and manage project timelines and deliverables.
• Utilize data analytics for continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure effective communication among all project stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mining or Geological Engineering
• Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the mining industry, specifically in engineering roles.

• CAD Software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D)

• GCC Mines and Works
