Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter to assess risks and determine insurance coverage terms for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of underwriting principles and a knack for analytical problem solving. You will evaluate applications and make sound decisions to minimize risks while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex tax returns for high net worth individuals and businesses.
• Advise clients on the implications of tax regulations and changes.
• Conduct thorough tax research and prepare position papers.
• Assist in the development of tax policies for the organisation.
• Evaluate and implement tax compliance procedures.
• Train and mentor new team members in tax preparation processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Further qualifications in Taxation are an advantage

Experience

• 4-6 years of relevant tax experience

• Compliance Management
• Financial Analysis

• Team Player

Certifications

• Registered Tax Practitioner (RTP)
• CA (SA) is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
