Nuclear Medicine PET-CT Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine PET-CT Technologist to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will have the responsibility of operating and maintaining PET-CT imaging equipment, preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, and performing diagnostic imaging procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nuclear medicine imaging procedures, specifically PET-CT scans.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals and necessary medications for imaging.
• Ensure the optimal functionality of PET-CT equipment through regular checks.
• Collect and analyze imaging data for accuracy and diagnostic purposes.
• Assist radiologists in interpreting PET-CT images.
• Ensure that all patient documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Participate in ongoing training and development.
• Support research initiatives and clinical trials.
• Promote a positive and empathetic environment for patients.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
• Valid registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting
