Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Special Needs Educator to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will work closely with children who have diverse learning needs and will be responsible for developing tailored educational plans.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging lesson plans that accommodate individual learning styles.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to enhance learning.
• Identify resources to meet each student's unique educational and emotional needs.
• Engage students in community activities to build confidence and social skills.
• Maintain records of student progress and prepare reports as required.
• Advocate for students' needs within the school setting.
• Support training for other staff members on special education practices.
• Participate in individual and group consultations with parents and stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of working with children with special needs

• Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Certification
