Job Description

As a Tax Consultant in Johannesburg, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice and comprehensive solutions to our clients. Your role will involve working closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored tax strategies. You will also be responsible for staying up to date with the latest tax regulations and ensuring compliance.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze tax laws and regulations that affect clients.
• Draft and present tax planning strategies to clients.
• Manage and mentor junior tax staff within the firm.
• Coordinate with external consultants and specialists as needed.
• Prepare presentations and materials for client meetings.
• Analyze client financial data to identify tax planning opportunities.
• Build and maintain client relationships through effective communication.
• Ensure compliance with all provisions of tax laws and regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Taxation or Accounting
• Master's degree or MBA is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in taxation and compliance

Technical Skills

• Tax Legislation
• Financial Analysis

• Client Management

Certifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Certified Management Accountant (CMA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Tax Compliance Software: Familiarity with tax compliance software such as Pastel or SARS eFiling.
• Experience in Tax Planning Strategies: Demonstrated ability in developing effective tax planning strategies.
