DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are on the hunt for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our Cape Town team. This role requires a strong background in cloud infrastructures and automation tools. You'll be responsible for managing deployments and optimising system performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the deployment and management of cloud-based services.
• Automate repetitive tasks to increase system efficiency.
• Conduct regular system audits and create backup strategies.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.
• Develop scripts to enhance automation in system tasks.
• Measure and report on system performance and uptime.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role

• Ansible

Certifications

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of scripting languages: Familiar with Python or Bash for automation tasks.
