Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Manager to lead our team in Cape Town. You will be responsible for overseeing all phases of construction projects, ensuring they run smoothly, on time, and within budget. Our ideal candidate has a strong background in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully completing projects from conception to completion.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Lead daily operations on the construction site and monitor progress.
• Ensure all work aligns with local building codes and safety regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments to forecast potential challenges.
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Review project specifications to ensure adherence to design and engineering standards.
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management.
• Strategize to minimize costs while maintaining quality and safety.
• Support the implementation and tracking of project performance metrics.
• Mentor and guide team members in their professional development.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in construction project management

Languages
