Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Quality Assurance Tester to join our vibrant team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of our software products by identifying bugs and ensuring functionality aligns with requirements. This position calls for a meticulous approach to testing and a passion for delivering high-quality software.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed and comprehensive test plans and cases.
• Log defects systematically and collaborate with developers for fixes.
• Execute exploratory testing to identify potential user experience issues.
• Assist in designing and implementing automated test scripts.
• Monitor and report on testing progress and quality metrics.
• Engage in requirement analysis sessions to provide input from a quality perspective.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QA team.
• Participate in peer reviews of test documentation and testing processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in software testing

Technical Skills

• Performance Testing
• API Testing

Soft Skills

• Time Management
• Teamwork

Certifications

• ISTQB Certified Tester

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with performance testing tools: Experience with tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Experience in mobile application testing: Knowledge of testing strategies for mobile platforms.
