Inventory Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Manager to oversee our inventory operations in Cape Town. The successful candidate will ensure optimal inventory levels, manage stock audits, and develop strategies to improve overall inventory accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the inventory management system.
• Ensure the accuracy of inventory and reporting mechanisms.
• Review and approve purchase orders and stock replenishments.
• Coordinate with logistics for efficient stock movement.
• Lead training programs for team members on inventory management best practices.
• Participate in strategic planning for inventory-related projects.
• Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate contracts.
• Utilize inventory management software for tracking and reporting.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Certification in Inventory Management is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in supply chain or inventory roles

Technical Skills

• ERP Software
• Forecasting Techniques

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Organizational Skills

Certifications

• Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Lean Inventory Practices: Experience in implementing lean inventory management techniques.
• Knowledge of Import/Export Regulations: Familiarity with compliance in import/export activities.
