Veterinarian

Job Description

As a Veterinarian at our clinic, you will be at the forefront of pet health. Your role will encompass diagnosing, treating, and advising clients on their pets’ health, while actively participating in the day-to-day operations of our veterinary practice in Durban. Compassion and excellent communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the animals' health and develop treatment plans.
• Perform routine check-ups and emergency services.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners about health concerns.
• Coordinate with external specialists as necessary.
• Champion animal welfare initiatives within the clinic.
• Engage in staff training and development.
• Assist in financial management pertaining to treatment plans.
• Conduct research and contribute to ongoing veterinary developments.

Requirements

Education

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
• Valid veterinary license in South Africa

Experience

• 3+ years of experience preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Involvement in veterinary research: Engagement in veterinary research projects is a plus.
