Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Animal Rehabilitation Specialist who is passionate about animal welfare and has a proven record in rehabilitating injured and recuperating animals. The ideal candidate will work closely with veterinarians and support staff to develop and implement rehabilitation plans tailored to individual animals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to identify physical and behavioral issues affecting recovery.
• Design specialized rehabilitation programs tailored to individual needs.
• Train support staff on proper rehabilitation techniques and care protocols.
• Educate pet owners about the rehabilitation process and its importance.
• Utilize various modalities such as hydrotherapy, massage, and exercise.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Collaborate with animal care staff to provide comprehensive care.
• Report on the progress and outcomes of rehabilitation programs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology or Animal Behavior
• Relevant certifications in animal rehabilitation are an asset

Experience

• 2+ years working with rehabilitative therapy for animals
