Job Description

We are seeking an experienced First-Line Supervisor to coordinate daily work activities for our surface mining crews. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with safety regulations while optimizing productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team in achieving production targets safely and efficiently.
• Monitor crew performance and provide feedback.
• Implement continuous improvement processes within the team.
• Ensure that all safety gear and protocols are adhered to.
• Participate in strategic planning meetings with upper management.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized tasks.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Facilitate regular safety training sessions for staff.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate
• Surface Mining Supervisor Certificate or equivalent
• Diploma or degree in Mining Engineering or related field

Experience

• At least 5 years' experience in a supervisory role within surface mining

• Blasting Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent
