Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

As a Pharmacy Technician in our Johannesburg facility, you will support licensed pharmacists in delivering quality pharmaceutical care. Your role will include processing prescriptions, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service to our patients and healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare prescription medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in managing pharmacy supplies.
• Provide guidance to patients about medication usage and health tips.
• Resolve medication-related issues or discrepancies with patients and providers.
• Coordinate with healthcare team members to enhance patient care services.

Requirements

Education

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent
• Diploma in Pharmacy Technology is advantageous

Experience

• 1+ years of experience in a pharmacy setting

• Patient care support

Certifications

• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
